You want to have a bite with friends, but you want your young kids to have a good time too? These eateries with play areas and walled gardens might be just what the doctor ordered!

Conter Stuff

Conter stuff takes child-friendly to a Luxembourg high with tables and chairs set out on the lawn for adults and swings and slides and even a trampoline for the children to play on. It’s enclosed, so you can feel safe and during the summer, they might just have the BBQ out.

Where: Place de la Mairie, 5310 Contern (map)
Contact: Tel: 26 70 17 26 or via their website.

Yves Rieffer

Beautiful pastries and tea served out of fine china makes this a delightful place with or without kidlets. But in the summer, it makes dining with children a positive pleasure – enjoy your latte on the terrace overlooking a walled garden with a lovely play area. Note, there are steps.

Restaurant Le Bec Fin

Located within the Hotel Parc Plaza, Le Bec Fin’s Sunday brunch is THE place to be for families. You’ll find free flowing champagne for the adults and a Kids Club like no other in Luxembourg. Located in an adjacent room, this kid’s hangout offers a children’s buffet perfectly tailored to their usual desires (pasta, chicken nuggets, potatoes, etc.). After eating kids can choose from various games and entertainment. The Kids Club has its own servers that can help you children cut their food and bring them drinks and the babysitters are incredibly friendly and in true Luxembourg style speak many languages.

Located in Schengen, this is a great place to go to for a high-class family meal. The terrace overlooks the Moselle, the food is freshly prepared and seasonal and it’s resonably priced. Your kids will love the play area.

This lovely restaurant is located next to the forest, so you can walk off your meal! An outdoor terrace with a play area, simple French and Luxembourgish food and friendly service make this a gem worth seeking for families.

A new concept for parents in Luxembourg, this wonderfully child-friendly restaurant boasts a great menu for kids and an indoor play area with cameras, so that parents can see how their children are doing whilst enjoying their meal and grown-up conversation.

Cuisine du Monde

Not strictly ‘du monde’ as this restaurant is really about sushi and Asian dishes, with a great buffet lunch. The big thing is the little children’s play area (indoors for when Luxembourg rain hits), allowing the kids to wander around in between cucumber maki.

Rhino Steakhouse

… and pizzeria. In fact it’s the pizzas your children might really warm to as they get to choose whatever’s on it! But the steaks and American family fare will leave you all satisfied. Open on Sundays, super family-friendly with a little indoor play area and a fidelity card which lets you get a free pizza for every ten you order. Go with a group of mums and dads and make it a special one.

Weingut Hellershof-Zillliken

A family business makes for a family-friendly restaurant, just over the border in Germany. There’s actually only one kiddie option,(Hahnchenschnitzel Mit Nudeln) but it’s a good ‘un and the ice-cream in a clown pudding bowl is bound to impress. There’s a sandpit which will keep them amused for hours, whilst you enjoy a delicious rump steak with crispy onions & pepper sauce. They also provide family picnic baskets, wonderful wine and even an overnight stay.
