Ramadan in a Basket 2017 – Building Baskets, Building Bridges

Refugees Luxembourg is delighted to announce the launch of ‘Ramadan in a Basket 2017 – Building Baskets, Building Bridges’

Following on from the success of “Ramadan in a Basket 2016” Refugees Luxembourg will once again be distributing food baskets throughout Ramadan to Muslim families, couples and individuals living in Foyers.

Ramadan, which begins on the evening of the 26 of May is a month-long period of fasting during which Muslims refuse food and water from dawn to sunset.

Baskets should include essential, non-perishable food items which are traditionally consumed during Ramadan such as: dried fruits such as dates, figs, olives, tea, crackers, noodles, fresh fruit, canned beans, canned hummus, Arabic flat bread, chocolates and fava beans.

If you would like to donate a basket, further information and collection points and times can be found on the ‘Ramadan in a Basket 2017 Facebook page
