Géi mat, meaning “come along” in Luxembourgish, is the appropriately-named pun for Luxembourg’s Pride week, or Gay Mat, which is being held across the Grand Duchy from the1st to the 9th of July.
The GayMat Festival is an event that has existed since 1999 and it grows exponentially each year.
Esch-sur-Alzette is the headquarters and where everyone congregates to celebrate pride! Luxembourg is celebrating its Gay Pride week with lots of activities for everyone but the gay pride march of Luxembourg is the most popular.
The festival will close with a closing party event with a special edition of the Queesch party series in Luxembourg City in co-operation with Fairytails, Bear Dukes and LadyLike.

July 1: Lady Pride- Ladyparty Event at In Vivo, Gasperich. 10 pm- 3 am
July 3: Ceremony marking the commemoration of the homosexual victims of the Nazis at Musee National de la Resistance. 7 pm
July 4: GayMat Movie Night at Kinosch- Kulturfabrik at 8 pm
July 5: GayMat Movie Night at Kinosch- Kulturfabrik at 8 pm
July 6: Pride Géi Mat @ the Tube Bar from 6:30 pm/ DJ Dirty South
also on July 6th: One Woman Show- Karen Chatagnier at Kinosch-Kulturfabrik at 8 pm

July 8: We Are Family- GayMat Closing Party at Lenox Club Luxembourg, 10 pm – 6 am
