There is so much going on this weekend, we are starting to fully grasp why November/ December is voted the favourite time of the year! Our top pick is the Musical Playground at the Philharmonie! We will be there with bells on. Embrace the first signs of Christmas with Wanterfeeling or inspire your mini-magicians with a magic show. Get those kids moving with a no language required fantastic dance at the Rotonde. All this and more in this week’s What’s On for Families.

Winterlights

The City of Luxembourg and the Luxembourg City Tourist Office present “Winterlights”, the festival of lights and animation. It features Christmas markets , carousels,  street animations, processions and parades, exhibitions, shows and concerts! The markets are located in the following places: Place de Paris, Place d;Armes, Place de la Constitution, Roude Petz, Au Grund. And in Place d’Armes for kids there will be DYI demos, book readings, pastry and fitness workshops! Check out the program on the website.

Musical playground – rainy days festival

In the interactive performance Musical Playground, the Philharmonie is transformed into an adventure for children aged 6 to 12. The three Icelandic composers of the S.L.Á.T.U.R.. collective and Ensemble Adapter invite children on an imaginative sound journey, where they become performers themselves as the foyer turns into a stage for musical robots, a Punch and Judy show, or a cactus concert. For all curious children with open ears, Musical Playground is a chance to explore unfamiliar sounds in a creative and playful way while experiencing the architecture of the Philharmonie from a new perspective.
