Pick 1: Women’s Solidarity March and Talk
Organised by Democrats Abroad, those living in Lux will come and show the American administration that women and those who support women are not backing down. To commemorate the anniversary of the Women’s March, Thousands of women, femmes and allies will come together all over the world to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the Women’s March and to launch our collective 2018 Women’s March agenda: #PowerToThePolls #Marchtotheballotbox #WomenSolidarity #MeToo
Feel free to wear a pussy hat and pink as well as carry signs. The walk will be approximately 2-3km and suitable for all ages. More details can be found here.

Pick 2: Creativ Luxembourg at LuxExpo
Craft ideas and creative material exposition. With nearly 90 stands, visitors will find endless inspiration to help develop their creativity. Workshops for kids will be available as well.

Pick 3: Coals at De Gudde Wëllen
Other-worldy Polish pop duo, Katarzyna Kowalczyk and Łukasz Rozmysłowski. The name of the band is connected with the region they come from – Silesia – which is famous for coal mines and if you like the XX or Sigur Rós, then this is a show you don’t want to miss. They started playing music in September 2014. They quickly made themselves liked by listeners due to home-recorded songs they published on the Internet.

Pick 4: Sonja Soyer & Michele Graedel
If you are an art art connoisseur, two outstanding female artists, Michèle Graedel and Sonja Soyer are currently exhibiting their newest work in the Municipal Gallery of Diekirch (Maison de la Culture Diekirch) and this is a show not to be missed. Their breathtaking paintings are displayed in a gem of a place, (a building situated in the ancient core of Diekirch, was completely renovated in 1998). Get some culture, be inspired and get out of the city centre.
Date: Maison de la Culture of Diekirch is open daily from 10am to 6pm until January 28, except on Mondays when they are closed.

Pick 7: Talk Dinosaur To Me
Did you hear they discovered almost an entire plesiosaur in the south of Luxembourg?! Hear Peggy Vincent from the National History Museum in Paris in collaboration researchers from the National Museum of Luxembourg discuss the magnitude of this find.

Pick 8: Vernissage: Giovanni Gastel – Divine Ladies
From the early 1980s to today, Giovanni Gastel has worked with more than 50 Italian and international magazines, and published about 130 covers for Vogue, Vanity Fair, Glamour, Elle, Amica etc. He has produced over 500 campaigns and catalogs for several fashion houses, beauty brands, jewellers and designers. As an icon of the Italian and international photography world, he received the Oscar for photography “La Kore – Oscar della Moda” in 2002.
The exhibition at Galerie Clairefontaine entitled “Divine Ladies”, presents a selection of portraits and fashion pictures, which are a hymn to femininity, style, elegance, and to a world made of subtle seduction, sensitivity and hidden fragility, – his main sources of inspiration.
