Pick 1-City Savvy’s Love Letters to Luxembourg
It’s time we create some gratitude for this fabulous country! Write your own love letter to Luxembourg on any of the CSL postcards scattered throughout the city (Cercle Cité, Neimenster, Colisee Restaurant, Nordic Stella, Fischer bakeries, Philharmonie, Bierger Center, Hotel de Ville, Konrad Cafe to name a few) and leave it in a Love Letters dropbox. We’ll collect all the postcards and cover the walls of the Cercle Cité with your love in a closing event on June 29th. You can also share a photo of your postcard on social media (#loveletterslux) to be entered to win a prize for the best love letter to Luxembourg!
AND Don’t forget to take a walking tour among the city centre and check out what 5 local artists feel are things worth loving in Luxembourg. Pick 2-Vernissage de l’exposition Almost Nature
For this summer exhibition, ARTSCAPE Contemporary has been invited by winegrower Bernard-Massard to present a special cuvée of works by five contemporary artists inspired by the beauty of the Moselle landscape. The selected paintings represent as many distinct and varied forms of visual expression as individual responses to the human-nature relationship that is manifested through the framing and the chosen perspective of each artist.

Pick 3-Manhattan: The American Dream with Stefano Bollani
The musical West Side Story and the opera Porgy and Bess are the prototypes of US music theatre. The suites that the composers Leonard Bernstein and George Gershwin based on those works add up to a scintillating program. Head over to the Philharmonie Luxembourg to hear these works by the OPL accompanied by Italian superstar Stefano Bollani on piano.
Date: Friday, May 18 at 7pm with an after concert performance by Stefano Bollani at 9pm

Pick 4-Wine, Taste, Enjoy
Over the weekend winegrowers and wine cellars and some distilleries between Grevenmacher and Schengen will open their doors under the motto “Wine Taste Enjoy”. There will be tastings of wines and crémants but also music, guided visits, culinary treats in the wine bars and regional restaurants and much more. This event is for sure the best chance to get acquainted with Luxembourgish wines and Crémants as well as their producers and their winegrowing region at once.
Pick 5- British Brunch and Royal Wedding
Watch Meghan and Harry take the royal plunge and get married on Saturday. You can watch the entire event unfold while enjoying a British brunch and Pimm’s Cup. If royals aren’t really your thing, you can come later and enjoy the FA Cup Final. Optional dress code: Ladies, day dress & headwear/men: Blazers, morning coats or lounge suits.

Pick 6-Nordic Stella- Knitting for beginners
If you’re interested in learning how to knit, this is THE course for you. Nordic Stella offers a super chill environment and the teachers are always patient and kind. This beginners class is a great way to unwind after a long day and learn a new skill at the same time.

Pick 7-Flux Feelings
“Flux Feelings” is organised around the themes of land and identity. This revealing overview takes in different generations of photographers living in Luxembourg, as well as international artists who have turned their camera on the people and places of Luxembourg. The exhibition offers a layered and complex portrait focusing on questions of identity and representation in the Grand Duchy.

Visitors are invited to discover free access to the permanent collections and temporary exhibitions of 49 museums and art centers throughout Luxembourg. This is the ideal opportunity to (re) discover the outstanding museum heritage of the Grand Duchy and to enjoy a rich and eclectic cultural offer.

Pick 9-Adam Beattie
Scottish Singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Adam Beattie’s music spans many genres, having roots in Scottish folk music, as well as in old time jazz, blues and other folk styles, but it is all held together by Adam’s distinctive voice and narrative lyrics. He has played opening shows for many of his musical heroes; Bert Jansch, Jolie Holland and Sean Hayes. Collaborated on guitar and bass with Brooke Sharkey, Scott Hirsch and Micheal Chapman.

Join us upcoming Sunday for a great selection of Luxembourgish produce and design at Lëtzebuerg City Museum. Local shopping with the best view in town! This event is taking place during Luxembourg Museum Days so you can enjoy the free entrance to the museum. There will also be on-going spinning and weaving presentations by Lahuro.
