Over forty museums all over Luxembourg will open their doors to the public for the weekend, for absolutely free! Last year over 42000 visitors took advantage of this amazing opportunity to find out more about the country you live in.
Museums in Luxembourg have a lot to offer. We have internationally renowned art museums and some wonderful history museums. What you might not know is that there are lots of smaller museums all over the country covering an eclectic selection of subjects relating to the history of Luxembourg. By paying a visit to one of these sites you can learn about honey and bees, or explore the history of rural life, printing, folklore, and the steel industry, to name but a few.
During the Museums Festival your visit will be free of charge. As well as the fascinating museum collections on show, there will also be a series of special events thrown in, with a varied programme of family events, tours, workshops, performances and concerts. We suggest you take a look at their website for further details of what might be happening in a museum near you!
