The time is drawing nearer for that biggest of European questions. No, not Brexit, but where the Euro 2016 games will be shown in Luxembourg!
City Center Soccer
Assuming the rain stops, what better place to enjoy the footie than in the heart of Luxembourg. You can enjoy the screening of the group stages (10th to 20th June) in the shadow of the Gëlle Fra, on Place de la Constitution. The later games (25th June to 10th July) will be held on Place Guillaume II. For more information on the games, click here. If you want to watch these games but have special needs, the Ville de Luxembourg urges you to contact them in advance so that they can help: Tel 4796-4215, email email@example.com.
Good news for those working in Kirchberg: you don’t have to move far to enjoy outdoor giant screenings of the beautiful game. Catering is also promised in the rather ambitiously named ‘Central Park’, located between the European School and d’Coque (map). Alarmingly, the website states that kyosk closes in bad weather, so do contact them in advance on firstname.lastname@example.org. Check for more information here.

Despite the unfortunate address, Crossfire is a great central place to go to, footie or no. Boasting craft beers, burgers and dishes with a Nordic touch, there are multiple screens for your viewing pleasure. Want a Swedish pint but not Swedish football? Take to the loft for darts or a private ‘we hate football’ party.

Updown’s name might seem confusing until you realise it’s just next to the lift (geddit?) from St Esprit to the Grund. Cheesy gags aside, it’s a great little place where the atmosphere is felt both inside and out, as punters often overspill onto the square. A place to people-watch and footie watch, Euro 2016 evenings and much more can be found on their events page here.
