When we arrived to live in Luxembourg three years ago we had only ever previously driven through and had little to no knowledge of the treasures it contained. Fast forward three years and we still have so much to see, eat and drink here. For a small country it undoubtedly has an incredible amount to offer.
Whether you have just arrived or been here for a long time, here are three books to help you on your journey that we can personally recommend to help your exploration.
Guide Auto-Pedestre Luxembourg 201 Circular Walks
Published by Guy Binsfeld
We LOVE this book. The whole family. Myself because I can plan great hikes with the family and find new running routes and my children love it as we don’t get lost anymore!
This book is the way to discover Luxembourg by foot. The “Guide Auto-Pédestre – 201 circular walks” allows walking enthusiasts to explore the Grand Duchy’s most beautiful regions. This classic has been completely revised and set up using the latest mapping information. Each walk finishes at the same point it started from. The roadmaps are illustrated with an elevation diagram providing details on the route’s distance and inclines and GPS data. Information on the historical and cultural points of interest near the route as well as a small description of the walking tours are also included. Last but not least, over 1,000 photographs give the guide its final touch and will no doubt convince anyone to go and discover the country.

Her latest book from 2016 is her third cookbook where she explores the cuisine of her homeland, giving traditional Luxembourg dishes an original twist and cooking with local, seasonal ingredients.
